Gautam Engineering Co. was set up in Jammu, the winter capital state of Jammu and Kashmir, in the year 1997 as a partnership firm and was appointed dealer for JCB India Ltd. in the same year. From a small turnover of just a few lakh rupees, the company has steadily grown in both size and reputation. In 2014-2015, the company achieved a great annual turnover. Gautam Engineering Co. has around 175 employees all over the state of Jammu and Kashmir and enjoys a great market share in Backhoe Loaders and in Tracked Excavator machines.
During the course of all these years, Gautam Engineering Co set up branches at Srinagar, Baramulla, Awantipora, Leh, Kargil, Udhampur, Rajouri and Kathua. It has also setup a state of the art 3S facility and a 4 bay workshop in Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir.
